We are seeking to recruit a full time Discharge Admin Support Worker based at University Hospital Hairmyres

The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding the facilitation of discharge from ward areas in line with the NHS Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnership’s policies and procedures.It is essential that you have an SVQIII in Administration or working towards, or equivalent experience. The post holder will have proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages, administration, co-ordination and maintenance of electronic systems e.g. SWIS, TRAK.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB

  • Knowledge and a good understanding of a caring role within a health & social care environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
  • Effective communication skills when exchanging complex and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
  • Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.
